Good choice in picking up MOP by Chabon! In my opinion, it's still his best. Back then, he wasn't bogged down with trying to write WELL (big words, overly descriptive passages etc.) he just told a good story!

Not sure if you've heard about the recent film-adaptation by DODGEBALL writer/director, Rawson Marshall Thurber. If you enjoy the book, I wouldn't waste time with the movie, IF it ever gets released. It bombed at Sundance, owing to the fact that RMT went and CHANGED 85% of the story.
