In my opinion, it's still his best. Back then, he wasn't bogged down with trying to write WELL (big words, overly descriptive passages etc.) he just told a good story!

Not sure if you've heard about the recent film-adaptation by DODGEBALL writer/director, Rawson Marshall Thurber. If you enjoy the book, I wouldn't waste time with the movie, IF it ever gets released. It bombed at Sundance, owing to the fact that RMT went and CHANGED 85% of the story.
